Q. How much do you charge?

There is no single answer to this question. It depends what your requirements are and how much you are prepared to invest in your business.

Q. What is your approach to delivery?

We will begin with a face to face meeting to understand what you are hoping to achieve. This will be an open-ended discussion but will follow a broad outline that allows us to gather the information we need, while highlighting any issues that you need to be aware of. Once this has taken place you will receive a written quote for the work which involves all costs including ongoing support and maintenance. If you choose to accept this quote, we will make a start on building your site or application. Once it is complete you have the chance to accept the work and request modifications if appropriate. After this the product is installed and put live. The product then transitions to support and we will put a support agreement in place so you know what sort of service level to expect.

Q. What kind of technologies do you use?

By default we build websites and applications in ASP.NET, which is arguably the most powerful and flexibile web development platform in existence today. There are other web platforms which can provide similar results in less time, but we like to think that your business has considerable potential and you should invest in a platform which is mature, widely used in a commercial environment, cost-effective and can meet the needs of tomorrow as well as today.

Our use of advanced web platforms does not mean that you pay more for what you want. We are able to absorb the extra cost of development because we have common building blocks for creating sites and applications which can be re-used.

If required, we also have the skills to deliver web sites in PHP, Ruby on Rails,  ASP and Lotus Domino.

Our primary focus is web development rather than web design, however the two go hand in hand to some extent. The core skills of Binary Designs is development of web sites, content management systems, portals and intranet applications. High-profile public web sites sometimes need the involvement of a web designer to ensure quality and successful branding, but we will manage this requirement for you.
